A very busy week, but an amazing one as well – I met and enjoyed the company of Orange County Quilt Guild as I spoke at their fun guild meeting        and then the following day I watch them mix colors and patterns to create their very own Random Heart and Dancing heart quilts  here are some photos….

Random Hearts in bright, colorful colors and this dreamy collection is a layer cake from Fig Tree collection and it is paired with a soft, light apricot background – perfect!

Each color collection was different which made it so much fun!

Some quilts were just piecing, some were machine appliqued and some were appliqued by hand.  Everyone had great skills and color choices – I couldn’t decide which quilt to take home!!  By the way, no one was letting me taking their quilt home….

We had a great lunch and conversation – it was a special day!

Dancing Hearts in sunwashed yellows, blues, aqua and soft pinks – really special – I have an update for this quilt, it is all layed out and now Tina gets to carry it around to hand sew while she takes her dog out for training (she trains guide dogs – we spent the day with a fantastic dog)

I hope all you mothers out there had wonderful and happy mom’s day.  It seems like all we did was watch movies, eat and laugh – it was perfect!  Dish after dish and great BBQ – my husband did most of the cooking, so that was fun too!  He says I watch him when he cooks – I don’t know what he’s talking about…Special end to a fantastic week.  Blessings, Bev
